The list of songs where the original recording was so good that you just shouldn't cover it, at all, is pretty short in my view "September" by Earth, Wind and Fire is a slam-dunk entry though

I still like some of their songs, but I have a softspot for genrefucked remixes. Yes, I would like to hear "Scissor Sisters" as bluegrass, or "Thunderstruck" on cello. Rock me to sleep with those Weird Al polka remixes.
