It's hard not to notice that the billionaire bestselling author of the 21st century who defined children's literature for a whole generation etc. has been attacked more for writing a book than someone I've never heard of has been attacked for his tweets https://twitter.com/francesweetman/status/1306839001878466560 …

Rowling has been subjected to a hate campaign whilst WIley did face backlash for his comments compare the things said about him to what's been said about Wiley.

Wiley had the police come to his home, was dropped by his record label and had his music removed from Spotify, has been unanimously denounced by politicians, etc The reason more people are talking about Rowling is *nobody even tried to defend Wiley*

Who got
#IStandWithWiley trending on Twitter? Who paid for a "I
Wiley" billboard? Who had to take down their article about the "Wiley controversy" because of a threat from Wiley's lawyers? Which MP tweeted a personal apology to Wiley saying he has the right to free speech?2 replies 5 retweets 51 likes -

The idea that JKR has been subject to "more hate" than Wiley is so utterly absurd on the face of it it's almost beyond parody

Yeah, people are a lot more upset about JKR's new book than Wiley's new album - the one that DOESN'T EXIST because he's NOT ALLOWED TO MAKE IT because he's been thrown out of the industry and his career is in ruins My God

Have you actually read Rowling's new book? Because curiously people who have read it have pointed out it's not transphobic

Wow, how strange is that, what a bizarre mystery that a bunch of cis people who like JK Rowling think a cross-dressing murderer isn't a transphobic trope

Well for some reason Arthur I'm going to take the word of people who have read it over people who haven't.

There's plenty of people who have read it who do say it is in fact transphobic

Yes , but if I agree with the people that don’t think that, then it is fine.... right? I have been in a coma my whole life and this feels right

I'm sorry but something tells me the people who think this book is not transphobic are cisgender, and if a cisgender person thinks something isn't transphobic, it may still be very well transphobic.
