i feel like the logical extension of this is almost the opposite of the Bibliophiles Hate Marie Kondo thing, where attempting to get rid of books you own by authors you no longer respect would itself be represented by these people as a form of censorship

"Bibliophiles" often have this bizarrely unrealistic sense of the "sacredness" of books, that to ever destroy or dispose of a copy of a book is a grave sin, and if you don't want a book anymore you must sell or donate it This is ridiculous, especially with popular bestsellers
