So instead of pressuring the player to choose the bad option (and then making them feel guilty for that) you could offer choices with different rewards and consequences, depending on what the player values. (Obviously, this is really hard.)

Dude's a good brother who teleports around the world and loves puns. The omniscient jokester turning out to be mega dangerous hiding his power level is so old it was tired when Dragonball did it

His power level is less interesting to me than the meta stuff about knowing the nature of the fictional world he lives in and the vague hints he isn't what he appears to be in general (that he ACTUALLY IS a "skeleton" in the sense of being a human who died)
