Of course there's a certain sense in which a theistic universe is "simpler" than an atheistic one but it's simpler BECAUSE YOU ADDED A WHOLE NEW CATEGORY OF THING ("God") to explain away everything "complicated"

And the idea of Occam's Razor is to try to minimize the number of special categories of things William of Ockham himself was, of course, a theist and a Christian, but he was trying to keep people from just constantly making up more shit about God and Heaven and angels
