How was I rude? I posted a story about something I saw. If I may, you're the one making up quotes from me. The other arguments have run out so you're down to this.

They haven't "run out", you've just ignored them I mean they're all still true - he was living with chronic pain, he had many reasons to be unhappy and to be very sensitive about his fame (arguably even dysphoric about his size, if you want to use big words)

Hard to blend in a crowd when you are a literal giant. As for the argument "running out ", as I said, I would find his stance weird if he was this kid and failed to get over it in 30 years +, it didn't even happen to him, a grown man older than me.

This whole thing is just particularly infuriating because we were just talking about how of all people André Roussimoff had very little choice in being visible due to a disability he had since childhood He was pushed only semi-willingly into his career for lack of better options

Of course he was fucking tired of signing autographs, of course he didn't always respond with grace And this maudlin cliché of a kid "screwing up his courage" to approach him and being "crushed" when denied Well yeah that's why you don't do that

Yeah, cry me a river. I sympathize with a small boy instead of a millionaire celebrity who was mean to him for no reason. You picked your side. Now are you going to lie about what I said some more, or are we still on the insulting?

The word "No" isn't even all that mean

I mean I'm gonna be blunt here, of course I wish he'd been nicer, of course I'd feel bad if I were the kid But you aren't entitled to an apology or to an "all the best to you" or anything when you approach a stranger in public with a request

Yes you are. You are entitled to a polite response to a politely phrased request. You think that kid thought all about the pressures of fame? You may be imagining that someday you will have the pressures of fame. More likely that you will be shat on by a celeb.

No, you really aren't, honestly

And actually I do know what I'm talking about, I have been asked for autographs, I have had my photo taken unwillingly in public, all that shit It's not fun, it's obnoxious

And I've also been pretty openly snubbed by people more famous than I was, and I have not dwelt on it or turned it into gossip because I've seen both sides of it to some degree and know how petty and shitty it looks from the other side
