Here the thing you probably didn't grasp when you were a kid but you should today. You aren't entitled an explanation for a rejection. You aren't entitled a veto when a probable reason is given to you.

It wasn’t me. I saw this as an adult. It’s not a matter of entitlement. It’s about being kind to children.

Look, it's a shitty thing to do, I'm not arguing with that It's also, honestly, in my view a minor thing in the grand scheme of things, and something that very much does illustrate the whole burden of fame thing

Adults are rude to kids unnecessarily all the time, I ignored a kid saying hi to me just the other day because I was in a shitty mood, it's only when you're famous that people record that interaction in their memory and save it to bust it out years later

Yeah celebrities can cry all the way to the bank. It’s not hard to not be shitty to people.

Probably more than that 10 years old kid this day. I would find it weird if that kid still felt as strongly as that, it's blows my mind that someone is still furious for a very minor thing that didn't happen to him.

People really do view never making mistakes or being a jerk in public as the social cost of what they see as all the benefits of fame, and get very passionate about punishing celebrities they see as ungrateful bastards

And I made my position on this clear A famous person might be an asshole, and it's not okay for them to be an asshole any more than anyone else, but it doesn't mean they don't deserve what they have Andre the Giant earned every penny he was paid

He was paid by all those fans buying tickets for the show he put on in the ring, a show that beat the shit out of his body over time that he paid for with chronic pain, illness and eventually an early death That's the trade, that's the deal, you and him are square

He doesn't really owe you more than that Like if someone's an ass outside of their performances and that makes you want to stop buying tickets then fine, do what you want, supply and demand But he didn't steal anything from you
