I mean, you know that thanks to the name confusion, there's a variant fanfic origin of Pan where he was born after Penelope actually did have group sex with all the suitors and all their sperm mixed together (hence being named "Pan", "all")

Yeah I always wanted to do something with that Margaret Atwood in her Penelope take used her nymph ancestry to imply she was basically a water mage, Penelopeia as a figure is kind of obscure, I wanted to fanwank some reconciliation there but could never quite piece it together
