At least some of the people admit that they don't actually believe Twitter constitutes reality but it's a convenient place to beat up someone like a pinata who represents a "movement" they're against Those people are, of course, the worst

It also applies the other way around. I'm sure people who actually started the movement are pretty fed up of being supplanted by Wendig because he's more twitter-famous, as are those who make the same points since.

It is really a Twitter way of thinking, where the only frame of reference for something (here IA's digital library) is the time someone on Twitter spoke about, therefore everything that happens with it is because of the time the person spoke about it.
