Anyway while a lot of Ezri haters hated her on general principle it's also true that she's easy to hate because she deliberately contrasts what people found so compelling about Jadzia, her general easy calm confidence in being who she is regardless of her "masculine" traits

And even though Ezri's "dysphoria" revolves around her discomfort with being identified with another woman, Ezri is still very much a picture of insecurity and dysfunction caused by "identity issues" Which is rough if you liked Jadzia specifically as an escape from all that
