Oh yeah Dhampir with an "I" are the Kindred-born ones

Accessing. "Time of Thin Blood", part of the Year of Reckoning event. Yup, dhampir can be born of a thinblood/human or thinblood/thinblood pairing. Said product functions almost exactly like a revenant ghoul family member. Wow. How boring. Really just a self-ghoul.

Yeah they're basically just revenants that don't have to deal with blood bond

Yeah see some vampires are terrified of dhampir as a portent of Gehenna and a reason to exterminate thinbloods Others say "What's the big deal, it's just a ghoul with no blood bond" The members of the latter group have bought into vampires' own hype to a deadly degree

They don't realize that if there were no blood bond, the argument over who's more powerful, a vampire or a ghoul, suddenly gets very, very dicey You're talking about someone with dots in Potence and Auspex who can Blood Heal etc and can *go around during the day*

1 dot. Dhampirs appear to be restricted to 1 dot in any Discipline.

Yeah but they regenerate their own blood pool and they have no vampire weaknesses, they're a "vampire hunter" archetype (and vampire hunters get as much hunting done during the day as they can)

This wiki page says they can even become Imbued, which goes very strongly against my memories of what the Hunter core book said (Imbued can never have another supernatural template and can't be people who already know about the supernatural for any reason)

*checks Time of Thin Blood* Word of God says NOT ALLOWED. No crossovers with anything because they're powerful enough already. So yeah, wiki is wrong.

Honestly I'd be pretty okay arguing that Dhampir can be Kinfolk, hedge mages or Fomori, or can get Technocratic enhancements, like there's not any sensible reason Dhampir should have those options denied to them when not even Kindred do

Some thinblood Caitiff and some outcast Kinfolk having a sad lonely romance is pretty spot-on backstory for a White Wolf character

And yeah, having the Tremere have to deal with the fact that Dhampir are living human beings and can therefore use hedge magick, at the very least, would also be thematically on point
