I know there are often pragmatic reasons for this but I kind of feel like modern animation/sequential art has verifiably demonstrated that in fact the standard biological range of human hair colors actually sucks and very saturated colors are strictly aesthetically superior

Actual bright blue dye is almost impossible to get or make from organic sources, the ancients had to make azure from an inorganic source, lapis lazuli or azurite

Indigo is almost as good, and is extracted from the leaves of plants, but it isn't that really bright saturated blue, it's a dark neutral blue (traditionally used to make blue jeans etc)
