If I actually was a naga, none of you would actually be surprised, like admit it, I fit the characterization you unconsciously subscribe to women with snake tails, you'd mostly be surprised nagas were realhttps://twitter.com/Nymphomachy/status/1301299753897070593 …

I'm surprised you're saying "naga" and not the gendered "nagini" Did JK Rowling ruin that for you

I didn't even know that was a real word, I've always just used the term "naga" in my perusal of quality monster girl content

Yeah it's just Sanskrit for "female serpent" ("nag-" is an ancient word root for snakes that in modern times is associated either with the cobra specifically or with the mythological sapient quasi-deities)

Fun fact, the "nag-" root is (very distantly) related to the English word "snake", and also to the word "naked"

The original meaning of "nag-" is "bare" or "stripped" Like a snake is a "naga" because it's a completely naked animal, more than any other animal -- it's stripped not only of fur and hair but even limbs It's related to why the naga are sacred
