I've been meaning to create a post or video or something about "doing math" creatively - about something really basic like, "what if you didn't know how fractions worked" just to illustrate the thought process, because the only examples like 3B1B are relatively advanced

I.e the rules for fraction algebra aren't falling from the sky as divine knowledge, they're defined, and need to be *justified* in being defined that way and not some other way. And you can do that because they need to be that way to make fractions "mesh" properly with integers
