The logic is simple -- "Oh, you're NOT a woman, but you WANT to be one, huh? Then you must WANT all the bad shit that comes with being a woman" I'm sure from their POV it makes perfect sense and the shit they do is totally cathartic and justified It isn't, though, it's garbage

It's funny because a lot of people do seem to have this simmering desire to say objectively shitty things but have a "safe" target to take it out on To make racist jokes but not actually be a racist, etc. A huge pull of the shitty "Irony Twitter" culture is just about this

And the people who are into transmisogyny just go ham on this Every shitty thing you want to say to women you get to say to these people and it doesn't "count" -- hell, it's a *defense* of *real* women and makes you *more* feminist

It's bad enough that TERF women do this but TERF men do it all the time and TERF women give them all this praise and applause over it Graham Linehan just filled with seething fury posting pics and talking about how gross and ugly and dumb various people are

Of course the irony being that transpeople already have done this. Especially when they first realise that they might be "different".
-
in my talks with other trans people, the absolute fear of being a burden, a bother or stepping on anyone's toes is all-consuming for about the first year or so of coming out and transition

Oh OH Idk why I hadn't realized this, but it's the "kid grows up to be a bully out of a misplaced sense of justice that masks a desire for vengeance and power" thing. It's like techbros who feel like they're living out revenge of the nerds

Missed a key word, should be "bullied kid grows up to be a bully"

I remember seeing them tear apart one of Shon Faye's selfies, saying that no "real woman" would take sexy pics in their underwear, comparing her to a blow up doll, and much much worse. I won't even repeat the trash they said about Munroe Bergdorf.
