Acts udertaken in childhood should be treated more forgivingly in the eyes of the law. That does *not at all* mean we should apply the same principle when choosing those we grant power to. Glenn, a lawyer, is almost certainly intentionally conflating those to score points.

It's the perverse sophistry that Kavanaugh and Roy Moore defenders pulled out, pretending that our judgment for granting someone some very high privilege and power should be the same as legal criteria for prosecution of wrongdoing.
