The biggest way ActBlue helps out smaller, low budget campaigns is they do most of the paperwork for you If Aaron starts taking donations "manually" he has to do all the recordkeeping and reporting himself Something tells me Team Coleman isn't set up for that task

Act Blue is de facto how funding happens for Democratic campaigns now, aside from big money. That legalistic argument only goes so far as the law exists right now, but there's all kinds of problems with the law as it exists right now. These things can be changed.
