Oh, I'm listening all right, I'm listening to a bunch of people handing out a whole bunch of get-out-of-responsibility-free cards to everyone involved. Kids should NOT be on snapchat unsupervised. They should NOT be getting bullied online in "secret" b/c their parents don't look.
Also, as someone who was in middle school in the 90s, you greatly underestimate how much fucked up shit went down offline when we didn't have computers The cure to bullying is not "more parental supervision", it's not a reasonable thing you're asking

As someone who was in middle school in the 80s, I'm sure I do know because we were never online. This is different because it requires hardware that kids can't just conjure up on their own and a whole bunch of adults not paying attention at all.

It’s often not that the adults aren’t paying attention. It’s that it’s happening in spaces they can’t monitor or control. There is no way to monitor your kid’s internet usage 100% of the time, and even if there were, they shouldn’t. Teenagers need & deserve some amount of privacy
