Now the state party -- and other powerful interests -- are running Frownfelter again on a write-in campaign, rather than run someone new or wait two years to try to unseat him. It sure looks like patronage networks and ideology are factors here as well.

Yeah I genuinely do not think we would be even having this convo if it came out that he'd killed a dog or something The thing about animal abuse is that it's "tangible" harm whereas for bullying tons of people fall back on the sticks and stones defense
