I encourage people following the Aaron Coleman-Stan Frownfelter election in Kansas to watch @ggreenwald's interview with Coleman in its entirety. It is a probing look at Coleman's political and personal journey. Glenn presses him very effectively too.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ymeW9iyfIHA …

The portion about Coleman's adolescent abuse and revenge porn against female peers begins at 14:45 and ends at 23:00. The transcript is attached. For those wondering, he apologizes for his comments to a relative of a victim in which he told that relative to move on.pic.twitter.com/YTHDWuMsqC

Rather than just opine on this controversy,
@ggreenwald "did the work" -- he performed original reporting that moved this story forward. It's more than can be said of so many opinion columnists, either amateur or professional. Even Glenn's critics should commend him for it.17 replies 6 retweets 44 likesShow this thread -
Obviously reasonable people can disagree on this topic, and presumably those folks in Kansas House district 37 who don't agree with Glenn will vote against Coleman.

And there may be more information that has yet to emerge here. It's almost as though it might be worth waiting before forming strong conclusions about what occurred.

It is worth noting though, as Coleman does, that Frownfelter, an incumbent serving since 2007, could not get more than 823 votes ... https://www.kansascity.com/news/politics-government/election/article245023545.html …pic.twitter.com/yCrWGg7JrQ

Now the state party -- and other powerful interests -- are running Frownfelter again on a write-in campaign, rather than run someone new or wait two years to try to unseat him. It sure looks like patronage networks and ideology are factors here as well.

He didn't immediately acknowledge his actions, it took a major local news story to force him to acknowledge them

*Immediately* acknowledging them would've meant telling the voters about them as soon as he started running for office "But how the hell can you run a political campaign under those circumstances?" That's my fucking point
