The fact that Coleman is still a minor also cuts both ways. We're not defined by what we do as children, but he's legally still a child. If he is a budding predator, letting him proceed with his career over the objections of his victims would make him even more dangerous.

I am not here for this elaborate Chewbacca Defense where we point out that everyone has skeletons in their closet and everyone has hurt people and all elected officials have blood on their hands and "Therefore, you should still elect Aaron Coleman" Does not follow

Good Grief, I have the opposite conclusion - don't elect Aaron Coleman, don't put up with Aaron Coleman-types. Definitely not going the 'let it slide' route.

No doubt and there's no disagreement that everything is going as it does but...but... Let's use this as the basis of how we should proceed going forward AND retroactively for those already in politics - I'm begging all of you. No, I'm not ready to take a vote on it.

Yes, i am 100% in favor of everyone who has ever abused or sexually harassed someone getting run out of politics on a rail. There's a LOT of middle ground between "ruining someone's life" and "not allowing someone to hold public office".
