What the fuck are you talking about? The last claimed incident was when he was 14. He's now 19, with no intervening accusations. He spent 5 years reforming into a different person. Fucking creepy to judge people by what they did when they're kids.

1. 19 may be too young to run for such an office anyway, even without bad history. Create good history for a few years then we can look again. 2. Just cuz someone's "progressive" at 19 doesn't mean they will stay that way (Tim Pool). 3. Harmful to other candidates in the party.

Exactly. Prima facie, a 19-year-old doesn't have the judgement, education, or experience to be a state legislator. That assumption can be defeated with evidence of superior character, insight, and judgement. But otherwise, obviously not.

I suppose you can extend that to simply pass a law raising the age limit for eligibility to hold public office to 25, since that is supposed to be the age at which the brain is supposed to be fully formed. As long as that law is not reatroactive.

I'm not categorically against 19-year-olds holding public office necessarily, they just have to be 19-year-olds who didn't harass and abuse people to the point of attempting suicide five years ago

I wouldn't vote for ANYONE who did those things five years ago But you seem to think that him being 19 makes this better than if he were 39 and did it when he was 34 It does not, if anything it makes it worse

Do you understand that him being young means he has almost no track record to judge him by He has done almost nothing significant in his life EXCEPT sexually harass his classmates

If you added an extra 20 years to his age that could be 20 years of him doing positive things in the community, being a good friend and partner to the people around him, or even just 20 years of keeping his head down and just *not committing abuse* It'd bring the average down

But as it is, you've got nothing His accomplishments in life involve being a sexual abuser, getting therapy, then immediately deciding he should hold a position of authority over other people Come on

In his interview with Greenwald, GG is actively leading him, prompting him to feed him some positive story to show that he's changed or describe how he's changed, and all he can give us is "Well nothing's come out about me in high school has it"

That is, what’s so great about this guy, in GG’s view?
