Right. So it’s an appeal to a Catholic version of morality that is plainly dubious from the start. If it’s acceptable to balance out genocidal acts by placing them alongside mass conversion to Catholicism, then how doesn’t that point to a major flaw in Catholic morality?
It's not even really that she's opposed to, she's a fan of Rod Dreher and therefore a fierce opponent of liberal apostasy/heresy creeping into the Church

That's the actual future that's probably coming one way or another - not some kind of wave of Dawkins-style New Atheism, just people remaining "culturally Catholic" but slowly splitting off from the hierarchy and deciding theology doesn't matter
