I'm replaying Valkyria Chronicles bc the story is fun, but God, I'm not sure the plot isn't in fact more offensive than Attack on Titan

(the premise is that in Fantasy WWII, the Fantasy Axis and the Fantasy Allies, who exist on literally a European map with different borders, have to send teenagers to pilot tanks bla bla but the protagonists are located in Literally Germany ("Gallia")

Gallia is the Roman way to say Gaul, which is centered on present day France, not Germany, just fwiw

So I have been told! I'm also now less clear on the Darcsen being coded as Japanese, I still feel like the sister's name seems like that but I guess it's not unambiguous. And her voice actress being *sigh* Laura Bailey doesn't make things any clearer

I still cannot believe you had never heard of Laura Bailey before TLOU2. She is in EVERYTHING!

That's not uncommon for actors who are in everything

She a legitimately GREAT actress, tho. With tons of great roles.

I mean the funny thing about it is she was in a bunch of games @BootlegGirl had played before and talked a lot about, like she was the dead mom/Banshee in Bioshock Infinite

I mean to her credit she doesn't just have one voice. I don't think she sounds like Abby when she's Lady Comstock, or Lady Comstock sounds like Abigail Walker, etc
