I mean hacking or whatever, but the prospect of voter suppression being possible at all via shutting down the mail seems kind of bad, to me,

too much of the country is still on free library internet, or middle-of-nowhere internet. electronic voting would also be suppression

Electronic voting *over the Internet* is a horrifying idea and as far as I know has not been seriously proposed in any country

I just looked it up and it's been tried on a pilot basis for elections involving a few thousand people or so and the places that tried it have since shut it down due to security concerns (NSW in Australia, France for citizens abroad, etc.)

There was a confirmed attack on the NSW iVote website in 2015 and although there's no confirmation whether votes were altered (it would be very difficult to prove such a thing) 60k votes were at risk In the wake of this a bunch of countries canceled their online voting programs
