I think a lot about how the inevitability of former vice presidents winning presidential primaries, combined with the incompetence with which both pre-VP Biden and Harris ran in primaries before being selected, effectively indicates presidential primaries are non-democratic

I dunno how meaningful it is to talk about candidates doing "objectively well" at the primary I liked Elizabeth Warren's policy platforms and debate performance better than the other candidates but she clearly objectively failed at campaigning because people didn't vote for her

In terms of "deserving" the win as far as campaigns go her and Buttigieg are on the top of the list (the man is an empty suit but damn if him handcrafting his whole entire biography for election isn't impressive).

This isn't about Bernie though I'm talking about how Joe Biden was never able to cut the muster as a candidate until Obama but the sheen of being a vice president on him and then that proceeded to become the ONLY thing that mattered
