I think a lot about how the inevitability of former vice presidents winning presidential primaries, combined with the incompetence with which both pre-VP Biden and Harris ran in primaries before being selected, effectively indicates presidential primaries are non-democratic
I'm not trying to argue in this space that there was no DNC ratfucking or propaganda or whatever, but I am saying you don't need any kind of dirty tricks to explain someone being voted in regardless of what policies people say they prefer in polls because that's completely normal

Nor do I even think that's "stupid" or "irrational" I personally am a nerd who cares way more than average about policy but I freely admit I can easily be swayed by what I think of a candidate as a human being over how I hypothetically align with their platform
