I think a lot about how the inevitability of former vice presidents winning presidential primaries, combined with the incompetence with which both pre-VP Biden and Harris ran in primaries before being selected, effectively indicates presidential primaries are non-democratic

I was gonna say, at least when the candidate themselves picks their running make it's providing us with an example of the candidate's decision-making ability, even if it's usually a pretty blandly uninformative choice.

I mean to be blunt making Sanders Biden's VP is a horrible idea for the most obvious possible reason, which is that they're both 78 Biden picked Kamala because she's in her 50s
