Horizon Zero Dawn is almost as accessible though and is highly nonlinear

i dont want to say its because they had sony money, but it is the common factor. Its good that someone is making this a priority.

And you have just explained why I stan AAA mainstream games. Because we are in the weird ironic position where they cater to the most marginalized people

and yeah id like to live in a world where most games had a the capital to invest in excellent accessibility options without that capital coming at the expense of artistic vision. but im not blamming small games for this, im blaming capitalism

I disagree. I think accessibility should come before art.

oh accessibility isnt coming at the expense of art, the money to FUND accessibility more often comes with strings. Or maybe it doesnt have too? Like, if we could get numbers on how much it actually costs that would really help.

I mean in my case the most accessible games are also generally my favorites Fallen Order is an exception, being an inaccessible game that would otherwise be a favorite. But you can't tell me EA's Star Wars division doesn't have money to burn

They don't want to engage with old Legends canon, their remit is trying to get people to engage with the new movies and shows if at all possible That's why they got Avellone back for Fallen Order and not for a new KotOR

then thats also silly from Disney. The days of people who like the movies going out and getting a $60 game for their kid as a tie in are over. All that shits on mobile now

Seriously, disney is almost comically bad at the games market. Epic mickey was a flop, disney infinity was canceled just in time for the game to be actually playable. They genuinely dont seem to know what they are doing
