Right, but is "not having a map" and "making levels like mazes" intrinsic to a game about being a Jedi? If so, why? That makes very little sense to me

yeah if your commited to making the player feel like Ellie is just scrapping by as a creepy predator, you dont want the player to invincible walk around with infinite ammo Rambo style

True! Which is why I love that that particular game lets me play with very tough enemies and limited resources, but let me disable getting lost and falling from ledges

Ideally all games would make everything a slider, like System Shock 2 pioneered and TLoU 2 picked back up But that's a lot of work

Yeah but you still get to play the game. And if you like it you can play it again for the full experience, to the extent that you are able. I'll be doing my fourth TLOU2 playthrough for the Dig Two Graves trophy, and my first was on Very Easy with all accessibility options

that said, if i were playing hardspace: shipbreaker with the debug salvage gun that just insta-salvages whatever you point it at i would not exactly be getting the hardspace: shipbreaker experience
