I'm still not over the MBTI thing It's like a damn Onion article "The lady who invented the modern concept of personality tests also, in her spare time, wrote a novel about a whole family who kill themselves because they discover they are tainted by 'Negro blood'"

Wait, was this used as a "look how self-destructive racism is" moment, or a "look at these valiant defenders of the White Race sacrificing themselves for the greater good" moment?

I haven't read the actual book but it sounds mostly like a "Wow it really is tragic they had tainted blood" ending

Do you understand this book was written in 1934 and was disliked enough it went out of print almost immediately and the MBTI people have been trying to bury its existence for decades Where would I even find it

Check the Online Books Page. Most things that go out of print wind up there

Yeah it's not there, nor is it on http://archive.org or anywhere else You understand that it's not just "obscure", the MBTI people inherited Myers' copyrights and have been actively suppressing it

It may well be that what copied existed they've been actively trying to acquire and destroy, they're pretty aggressive about protecting their brand
