The original bad guys aren't ACME, they're still VILE ACME is created during the course of the show's events in order to stop Carmen

I mean, ACME are still imperialists VILE are amoral monsters stealing from everyone in the world for profit, but ACME was created to oppose them by any means necessary in order to preserve the status quo Carmen ends up fighting both International Crime and International Law

It's a cool setup I don't know if they'll ever finish the arc, but as it reads right now, this show is written as a *prequel* to the situation in classic Carmen Sandiego She's going to neutralize each of VILE's council members one by one until none are left, then take over

If that's the case it means Zack and Ivy end up in ACME doesn't it?

Chase is also an ACME agent in the game he's originally from, and if "Player" is implicitly the player character of the original games, so is he. Meaning Carmen doesn't have any friends left

Yeah Original canon Carmen is characterized as being completely alone in the world and without peers, only minions

Remember that in the original cartoon her mentor was a detective named Suhara, and after she turned to crime he fell into a depression and became a hermit

And now it's been revealed that Shadow-san's real name is Suhara
