I'd also throw in the exact circumstances - it was the end of a work day. "Person who is tired after a day of good honest labour" plays better than many other possible circumstances.

Not quite. Claudette Colvin didn't give birth until about a year after her incident -- which was nine months before Rosa Parks. She was a teenager, and wasn't regarded as reliable.
