I think you understand the point being made. Without universal healthcare people search for affordable alternatives. This creates a culture where snake oil salesmen flourish and science gets pushed to the side. You're a country that believes in TV evangelists and creationism FFS.

Nobody transitions because they don't have health insurance and are looking for an "affordable alternative" The "skyrocketing" number of trans people, including trans children, across the developed world is because health insurance started covering transition

Only the US requires health insurance, other countries have universal health care. Kids that transition in the UK do it through the NHS. The US is an outlier. Trans ideology prevents doctors from looking at causes (Asperger's, ADHD etc) as its 'conversion therapy'.

So if transitioning is less of an economic barrier to people in the UK because of mandated access to universal healthcare, why would there be more trans people in the US than the UK? You're not making any sense

Show me the numbers to back that up. No offence, but after Trumps last interview I'd like to see the data.

I *don't* think there's more trans people in the US than the UK, that's your stupid argument

The issue is not trying to explain differing numbers of trans people, which really aren't significant across country lines The issue is explaining the UK's highly elevated level of TERFs

Because we have a higher standard of public education and still believe in critical thinking would be my guess? You brought up numbers of trans in US & UK, not me. You've now moved onto 'TERFs' you're all over the place.

No, you literally tried to make the absurd claim that "trans ideology" exists in the US because people are looking for a cheaper medical solution due to lack of health insurancehttps://twitter.com/markmair/status/1291280427953553409?s=20 …

No I didn't. I responded to the OP that made that comment. No where in that post do I mention trans or trans ideology. You see things that aren't there. This explains a lot.

I didn't bring it up, the OP did. I challenged your facile point that economics was driving it. You've come back on your own point.
