Tfw you suddenly realize a Kiasyd protagonist would completely break the plot of VtM: Bloodlines because the very first-level power of Mytherceria gives you a complete immunity to being lied to

Did Kiasyd survive the end of 2nd Ed? 2nd Ed was my jam and I stopped following after that.

Oh, no shit? Cool. I always enjoyed the idea of fae blooded kindred but felt they should be used sparingly, like most of the bloodlines. Then again, I also thought WoD2E just had way too many supernaturals by the end of its run. But that’s a me thing

They didn't get retconned out, but they got sidelined along with all of the other splats that had crossovers inherent to their concept, because WoD3E pushed just as hard against crossovers as WoD2E pushed for them.

I remember feeling positively gaslit by the 3E books. "Why would you even try to crossover these games? Where did you get that idea?!" Maybe from all the chapters in the 2E books encouraging us to do it, I dunno.

Mage especially got really pissed about how badly 2e Mage went "off the rails" and wasn't even urban fantasy anymore

They didn't like that you could leave the physical world behind completely and just live in the Umbra and have adventures there all the time So they said everyone who was doing that got spirit-nuked
