I've seen a few ppl I previously thought were friends radicalised very, very fast online. They shift from "a few concerns" to "brain-worms contradictory positions" in a blink. I honestly think some people just love any excuse to punch down whilst still maintaining victim status.

YES! I had my 1st at 35 so felt very much like I'd 'missed' something with the whole Mumsnet thing. I made a choice to have kids, and if it hadn't worked out, that'd have been fine. If I'd never got stable, I'd have never had them tbh. Its clear other ppl don't feel the same way.

Trans kids especially, because they "get to" go through life shielded from the consequence of childbirth no matter what irresponsible decision they make. Makes sense why there both would be handwringing about creepy men pretending to be women and trans kids.

So the "male predators" in this analogy are stand-ins for their husbands, and the trans kids are stand-ins for themselves, but without having to experience consequences. Weird grand unified theory of TERFism, but interesting.
