And so trans women are this very convenient stand-in for "women who will never be mothers", a subset of that group they know they can freely attack without being called out for antifeminism or turning against other women "THEY AREN'T EVEN REALLY WOMEN"

YES! I had my 1st at 35 so felt very much like I'd 'missed' something with the whole Mumsnet thing. I made a choice to have kids, and if it hadn't worked out, that'd have been fine. If I'd never got stable, I'd have never had them tbh. Its clear other ppl don't feel the same way.

Yeah, in this case she had four kids at basically the earliest possible adult age and it sounded like it wasn't really a reasoned decision. Might explain the focus on fertility of trans kids - I didn't understand how it paired with the "predators in changerooms" concern.

Oh yikes. I don't get the changing room thing at all on a practical level bc all the unisex changerooms I've used are designed that way to accommodate middle class families. Like Mumsnet users. Who probably all use them without batting an eye but then scream about it online.
