Even more than other audiences I don’t think these people actually know what in media that worked for them it is which produced the emotional reactions they want to replicate

It’s already something people aren’t great at introspecting on and fall back on having taste close enough to the median that they can repeat scripts at each other and more or less get by on luck, make the scripts have moral value and you’ll never communicate anything at all
