It just occurred to me from the one Critical Role episode I watched that while neither Laura Bailey nor Ashley Johnson really resemble any TLOU character, Bailey looks more like Ellie than like Abby and Johnson looks more like Abby than like Ellie

I think Johnson is weirdly recognizable. Mocap has other great examples like that (obviously stuff like Gollum/Andy Serkis) that show that expressions are at least as important as facial features to identify someone.

Johnson didn't really look like Ellie in the first game because Ellie really looks like Ellen Page but after the real Ellen Page got mad they revised her to look much more like Johnson in the sequel

Side thought. The thing I still wonder though, is if Page was truly mad, or if Quantic Dream told her to get mad because it was hurting Beyond: Two Souls' marketing. Or both.

It was an offhand reaction to someone asking her about it in a Reddit AMA, that was not primarily about Beyond Two Souls, so I think it was real

Interesting. I only heard about it through articles that seemed at the time to make it a bigger deal than it was. Thanks for the info!
