It is literally impossible for any human being to know even a fraction of the wealth of information online anyway. What matters is some general knowledge, whatever specialized knowledge is essential to the individual, and knowing where to find more info if needed.

I think we need to rebuild school education to start with Dunning-Kruger and the Socratic paradox, how we can evaluate facts and evidence, and then build on that. Because this current system just can't work to fit the whole of human knowledge into a person.

And trying to teach enough of everything means people are ignorant of everything at a deep enough level, and then something simple comes along to soothe the pain of ignorance and people latch on to things like Flat Earth, anti-vax, transphobia, inceldom.
