(Although, unless they changed it in S2, they did obviously nerf Alison's power greatly from the comic -- it's not reality warping, just mind control)

See, I'm the rare person who thinks the ending to HIMYM worked, precisely because we got to spend a season with Milioti's character and saw parts of her relationship with Ted. While the previous seasons had laid a foundation for Ted & Robin at a later point in their lives.

There are lots of other problems with the show - it obviously should have run for 5-6 seasons, not 8 - but the idea of introducing the mother and flashing forward to her and Ted's relationship doesn't feel like one them to me.

lol, peter, a serious case of Generic White Boy syndrome, in which someone somewhere decided to build an interesting world and populate it with interesting people and then let the story focus on the most water-cracker white boy possible because he's A Protagonist

He's literally defined by being able to take other people's traits. It's like the show was making a metaphor.

The first season was more of an ensemble piece, whereas later on the focus shrank to the Petrellis/Sylar being the only important characters. Peter didn't feel as boring when he was balanced out by other characters, but when the focus was just on him and ZQ it was a big mismatch
