I have seen far, far more acknowledgment of the principle "You shouldn't appoint any wealthy famous person to speak on behalf of a marginalized community, my friends and I aren't Caitlyn Jenner or Lana Wachowski or Chaz Bono" on "my side"

Ha the sheer hypocrisy When all the Harry Potter actors came out as disagreeing with JK Rowling -- all of whom have significantly less money than she does -- the TERFs started yelling they were "spoiled Hollywood celebrities who owe her everything they've got"

Probably because they know JK will use her wealth to attack her critics and fund her beliefs. Trans people have expressed concern over this as well and TERFs are the sort of pathetic to deliberately bring it up and smear it in people's faces. Also we generally hate rich people.
