Then, when you said "no one said that" you weren't being accurate. You would have meant, "Yes, I agree that it's terrible that men tie value to reproduction."

I was under the impression that *you* were saying women have more reproductive value. If you are, then yes, I am responding to you. If you are saying that *men* believe this, your Tweet was unclear as to who you were attributing the statement to.

I mean yeah of course there are a lot of sexist men who believe that women are primarily valuable because of a perceived need to "sustain the species" We all know that THAT'S LITERALLY WHAT I SAID IN MY ORIGINAL TWEET

Those men's beliefs are oppressive and incorrect, as is their preceding belief that the presence of a fertile uterus is the definition of a "woman" in the first place

You said that women intrinsically have more value than men based solely on this factor. I dunno what you expect folks to take from that.

I'm going to admit that I'm really sickened by this desire to create hierarchies of people (x group more valuable than y group) no matter who is being put in the hierarchy. No person or group of people should be categorized as lesser. The goal shouldn't be to switch hierarchies.

Back in the day people used to call this kind of thing "cultural feminism", and treat that as a pejorative word After all it isn't that different from just plain sexists saying women are naturally more virtuous and closer to God and brutality is the burden men carry etc

It's more than not that different. I'm close to 100% sure that this person would find herself agreeing with that specific claim and like 70% sure that she'd agree with it in exactly those terms if asked right now.
