If Grimes divorces Musk and they don't have a prenup (I'm sure they do, but let me dream) don't the divorce laws in California stipulate that she AT LEAST gets half his assets, meaning she would break his control of Tesla shares?

The family court would have to decide to what degree Grimes' labor (either at the business or at home) enabled the growth of the company's value during the marriage to determine what portion, if any, of the business is rightfully hers

Given that most of Tesla's value was already there before Musk even met Grimes, the scenario you're describing seems unlikely
