Uh, no, in both cases either something actually happened or it didn't, both things are statements about the real world All court judgments, ideally, should be statements about the real world and things that actually happened, it doesn't matter whether it's civil or criminal

The same applies to ‘if you don’t want people to think your a misogynist with zero concern for women’s rights or their right to define their own boundaries’. Yet here we are.

Oh, no, I know what TERFs think of me, I accept it, and you can see I have not tried to silence any of them with legal threats I'm doing what all the free speech advocates claim to support -- responding with more speech

The idea that this is what defamation law is for -- fighting "incorrect interpretations" of YOUR WORDS, like me pointing to something I think is transphobic and saying "That's transphobic" is manipulative deception -- is deeply fucked The UK is fucked

So, if a bunch of us decide that you are a misogynist and hate women, you wouldn’t argue about it, you would just accept it and change?

Yep, it’s pretty easy, if you do not want to be considered a transphobe, do not say transphobic things. Saying transphobic things, then trying to censor people, whilst crying about free speech is kind of... odd.

Whether someone is a TERF is a matter of personal opinion. Why discuss it? It's like trying to discuss that Expressionist art is objectively good, a futile endeavor.
