Doesn’t section 9 of the Defamation Act set out the conditions for the case being heard in England? I’m not saying it would meet the requirements of the act but it’s not true to say it’s impossible.

Section 9 specifically says that the UK government will NOT attempt to try non-UK residents or citizens under the Defamation Act unless it is determined the UK is the most appropriate venue for the suit In Elon Musk's case, it famously was not

Except that’s demonstrably untrue. There have been many, many pages of criticism of JKR, from newspapers, bloggers, <consults Google> former quiz show contestants etc and by and large she hasn’t taken any action. You can criticise. You just can’t make shit up.

It's actually really obvious that Rowling is prioritizing her attacks on anyone who seeks to challenge her access to children, specifically She SLAPPed Nicola Spurling for the "not safe around children" tweet and SLAPPed The Day because the article was aimed at children

Nah, The Day was much, much nicer to her both in tone and content than Pink News but she decided to threaten to sue The Day for pretty specific reasons
