... Are you an idiot? That explains nothing, what you just wrote is literally the thing that if given a little bit of thought causes the breakdown. Diagon Alley is hidden by powerful magic, magic fucks up electronics, why aren't the electronics by Diagon Alley fucking up?

Clearly the no-cell-phones-at-Hogwarts thing isn't just about normal physical walls, or Harry could just step outside when he needs to make a call
-
These are different cases of magic and you’re conflating the two when they’re separate arguments. Tech doesn’t work inside magical places nor places the magic protects, ie Hogwarts. It does work, and is not interfered with outside or near places, ie Charing Cross

Well the magic is contained, and it’s behind rhe Leaky Cauldron, which is also inaccessible to Muggles if I recall. There’s magical and physical boundaries that stop Muggles and electronics from going near Diagon Alley

Yeah this is worldbuilding you're doing for her, she didn't actually say any of this, and in trying to construct an explanation along these lines you raise all kinds of questions that complicate the story

This whole argument is “what if I punch my sister”
“But she’s in the next room, there’s a wall in the way which protects it”
“Yes but you might still interfere!”
“There’s a wall?”
“That wall is a label, the world is continuous space”
