One thing I really wanted to make sure to do in this article is cite a lot of great trans writers like @JuliaSerano @ZJemptv @BrynnTannehill @KatyMontgomerie because critics like Rowling talk about "trans activists" without showing signs of having read any of their workhttps://twitter.com/NathanJRobinson/status/1286317053239070723 …

It's galling that Jones has been publishing explanations at Gender Analysis since 2014, & Serano has DOZENS of essays & a comprehensive glossary, and people STILL opine on trans issues without even glancing at their work: http://www.juliaserano.com/writings.html https://genderanalysis.net/

You've got a PhD biologist willing to break down everything wrong with their arguments and yet Shapiros and Rowlings still think trans people "do not understand biology." The fact that this can even be said with a straight face is proof we live in a transphobic society.

Define the biology. XX or XY. It simple really. If you want to say you feel like you aren’t what you were born as hey, go for it. But don’t use biology as a proof text because it doesn’t support your case.

I am familiar with the many and sundry genetic issues that can arise. Are you claiming that all transgender people have Kleinfelters, Turners, or some other sexual chromosome disorder?

No, you claimed "XX or XY. It's simple really." In your previous tweet. Now you say you're aware of the issues that can arise- so you know the biology isn't "simple really." Were you lying before, or had you forgotten?

Using an outlier as your example is disingenuous. 1/1000 people have a sex chromosome abnormality. These conditions express themselves as mostly male or female. I think all are entitled to express themselves as they please. But biology/science define 99.9% as male/female.
