I just told you that this is an example The article doesn't actually outright say JKR committed hate speech, it's just reporting on the obvious fact that many other people think sohttps://archive.is/oUW1y

Here, this is what she sued over. And this what the owner (who also owns The Express, that bastion of misogyny and right wing propaganda) copped to and apologised forpic.twitter.com/sceQ5Aw32I

Yes, the part that suited you. So I showed you the actual crux of the matter. And I did it without swearing, calling you names or spluttering with apoplectic self importance. But then I don't describe myself as a genius in my bio either.

It’s okay, what they don’t have, they’ll invent. https://twitter.com/stillberto/status/1286583314342707200?s=21 …https://twitter.com/Stillberto/status/1286583314342707200 …

Tim Stillman @StillbertoReplying to @billysubway @jk_rowlingTbf, she sued successfully because the article was found to have libelled her. It was a legal decision, which means the article broke that law. Being critical isn’t breaking the law, saying someone is a horrible person isn’t either, there are ways of couching criticism that are.1 reply 0 retweets 7 likes
Honestly even if she had taken them to court and won, winning a lawsuit like this is very often just a matter of being able to afford the best lawyers But people who crow about someone backing down at the *threat* of a lawsuit as proving their case are beneath contempt
