I mean, the industry depends on that too If everyone was satisfied by just experiencing the same movie or book or game over and over again, why would they ever need to make more of them

(For that matter one of the ways to recapture the excitement of coming in fresh to something is to do it vicariously, to watch someone else experience it It's pretty clear that this is why streaming, Let's Plays and reaction videos are so big nowadays)
